1-1 Overview

The purpose of General Incorporated Association Organization of High-Strength Fiber Engineering Japan (SFEJ) is to introduce reinforcement methods using continuous fiber sheets and rods made of Aramid Fiber (high-strength fiber technology reinforcement methods), which is high-strength, lightweight, and durable to architectural and civil engineering works for domestic and overseas U.S. military bases, and to establish construction quality control and construction management systems with this method.

1-2 Activities

Repairing and reinforcing existing concrete structures using continuous fiber requires careful substrate repair and preparation such as resin injection. The work also requires thorough knowledge of the material and construction/installation methods.
For this reason, General Incorporated Association Organization of High-Strength Fiber Engineering Japan（SFEJ）is working to develop the human resources of engineers and technicians involved in Aramid Fiber reinforcement work. SFEJ has established specialized committees for each field to train engineers and technicians involved in Aramid Fiber reinforcing work, with the main objectives of training and certifying Installers, Supervisors, Inspectors, and Designers. The following projects are being promoted in cooperation with related organizations.
